Rob Laqui
Rob Laqui is a Tony Award-winning creative producer based in NYC. On Broadway, he was a Co-Producer of A Strange Loop (Tony Award) and Here Lies Love. He is a Co-Producer on Hadestown for both the West End and national touring productions. He was also an associate producer of Dana H. and Is This a Room, which performed in rep on Broadway.
Rob is currently an Associate Producer for No Guarantees Productions and worked on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ART and STC’s regional productions of Evita, Bad Cinderella, and The Hills of California (Tony nom) on Broadway. Previously, he was the Production Coordinator for NT America, the North American producing office for the National Theatre of Great Britain, representing the NT on various Broadway productions including Network and The Lehman Trilogy, and an Associate Producer with Mara Isaacs’ company, Octopus Theatricals, where he helped develop the Hadestown Education Initiative.
Before his producing career, Rob performed in NYC and toured extensively as an actor, dancer and puppeteer with various companies including LaMama ETC’s Great Jones Repertory under Ellen Stewart, MOMIX Dance Company, the first national tour of the National Theatre’s War Horse with Handspring Puppet Company, Here Lies Love at the Public, and Cirque du Soleil’s collaboration with James Cameron, Toruk: The First Flight based off of the movie AVATAR.
He is a co-founder of The Industry Standard Group and was on the Collaborazian producing team of the Telly Award winning, online, all-AAPI A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, raising money for Stop AAPI Hate. He is currently a Broadway League Member and recently joined the LaMama ETC Board.
