Erica Rotstein is the Executive Director of Rhinebeck Writers Retreat. RWR nurtures creators and new work by offering residencies for musical theater writers in the Hudson Valley, removing outside distractions and financial burdens, and thus enabling writers to focus solely on their craft.

For nearly 20 years, Erica has built a multi-hyphenate career focused on nurturing generative artists and new musicals, defined by a deep commitment to artist care and the activation of art as a means of social activism. To date, these passions are manifest in her roles as a non-profit administrator, Tony Award-winning producer, talent manager, and educator. Select producing credits include Water for Elephants (2024 Tony nominee), Suffs (2024 Tony nominee), Parade (2023 Tony Award), Hundred Days by The Bengsons and Sarah Gancher (Lortel & Drama League noms for Outstanding Musical); Lightning Rod Special’s The Appointment, a musical satire about the American abortion debate; Broadway Votes’ “Carrying the Message,” a Newsies x get-out-the-vote PSA; Sovereignty Hymns, a musical series about body sovereignty; and We Aren’t Kids Anymore, a song cycle by Drew Gasparini. As a manager, Erica represents generative theater artists and changemakers. Erica is also a co-founder of The Business of Broadway, and teaches as an Adjunct Professor at NYU Tisch, NYU Steinhardt, and Berklee NYC.
